She is currently the module lead for year 3 Professional Development Through Research: dissertation. She is responsible for course development including continued BACP accreditation.
Lindsay is a registered accredited member of the British Association Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Barnardo’s LINK Counsellor. In addition to lecturing, she is an external examiner for a person-centred training programme and subject expert in partnership validation events.
Frances Whiteman in a Lecturer in the Counselling Degree Programme. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, BA Honors Class One Counselling Studies, Diploma in Higher Education Registered Mental Nurse.
Frances is a accredited Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. She has been in post for 5 years following over 20 years’ experience in the field of Mental Health Nursing and Counselling practice. Frances continues to work in private counselling practice alongside her teaching commitments to support current and practice experience integration into her teaching practice.
Kelly Rothery is a Lecturer in Health and Social Sciences. She teaches the BA (Hons) Degree Programme in Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as NCFE Level 3 Introduction to Counselling Skills.
Kelly is an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She teaches modules such as Person-Centred Theory, Introduction to Counselling Practice, Developing Counselling Practice, Research Appreciation, Personal and Professional Development, Loss and Bereavement and Working with Children and Young People.
Chloe Mclntyre in a Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Chloe is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). In her private practice work over the years, she has worked with the Youth Enquiry Service and currently working with Mid and North Essex Mind since 2018.
Within her teaching practice, Chloe is passionate about creating a student-centred learning environment, based on a humanistic educative framework. She is passionate about discussions around equality and diversity and exploring the psychological and social perspectives of mental health.

Sam Watson is the Counselling Coordinator for Colchester Institute Counselling Service (CICS). She manages and oversee the day-to-day delivery of our Counselling Service (CICS) by offering a high-quality service that is consistent with legal requirements, good practice, and ethical frameworks.
Sam not only finds her job highly rewarding, but to be in the position of helping members of the public access counselling during complex and emotional periods in their lives, while also witness the trainee counsellors develop their counselling skills and grow both professionally and personally is wonderful.
