Lindsay Horsley in Course lead and Area head of Dip. HE Person-Centred Counselling and BA (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy. She is currently the module lead for year 3 Professional Development Through Research: dissertation. She is responsible for course development including continued BACP accreditation.

Lindsay is a registered accredited member of the British Association Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Barnardo’s LINK Counsellor. In addition to lecturing, she is an external examiner for a person-centred training programme and subject expert in partnership validation events.

Sam Watson is the Counselling Coordinator for Colchester Institute Counselling Service (CICS). She manages and oversee the day-to-day delivery of our Counselling Service (CICS) by offering a high-quality service that is consistent with legal requirements, good practice, and ethical frameworks.

Sam not only finds her job highly rewarding, but to be in the position of helping members of the public access counselling during complex and emotional periods in their lives, while also witness the trainee counsellors develop their counselling skills and grow both professionally and personally is wonderful.

Frances is a accredited Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. She has been in post for 5 years following over 20 years’ experience in the field of Mental Health Nursing and Counselling practice.  Frances continues to work in private counselling practice alongside her teaching commitments to support current and practice experience integration into her teaching practice.

Lindsay is a registered accredited member of the British Association Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Barnardo’s LINK Counsellor. In addition to lecturing, Lindsay continues to work in private practice and is an external examiner for a person-centred training programme in Scotland and subject expert in partnership validation events.

Initially qualifying and experience with counselling adults, her practice evolved and with further CPD and expanded to working with young people. Her specific area of interest and experience is working with individuals in care and those affected by adoption.
