University Centre Colchester | Applications – How to Apply

Applications for full-time and part-time programmes starting in 2025 are open.

The University Centre Colchester Admissions team is available on (01206) 712613 to help you make an application or discuss entry or course requirements. 

Full-time undergraduate courses

Students wishing to study a full-time undergraduate course should apply online to UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) at www.ucas.com. The UCAS code for each course is shown on the course information page.

Completed 2025 entry UCAS Undergraduate applications can be submitted to UCAS from 3rd September 2024.

You are advised to apply as soon as possible and preferably before the first UCAS deadline of 29th January 2025. University Centre Colchester will accept late applications received after the appropriate deadline and through Clearing where places remain available. All applications to UCAS are made online at www.ucas.com.

The UCAS code for University Centre Colchester is CINST C75.

2025 entry applications opened on 14th May 2024, and applicants can submit them to UCAS from 3rd September 2024.

Students can register with UCAS on the UCAS Hub now. This means you can start personalising your space and thinking about your personal statement and shortlisting courses.

Part-time Applications

Applying for Part-time undergraduate courses

If you wish to study an undergraduate course part-time, applications are made directly to us at University Centre Colchester.

Applications are made directly to University Centre Colchester using the online and paper-based application forms below.

The forms below are for applications for all part-time undergraduate courses.

In addition candidates applying for a HND can use this form as well and won’t need to go through UCAS, as if you have already completed a HNC you will already be registered.

Please use the below forms if you wish to apply for a course where a one year degree top-up (where offered) is available, after you have completed a two year diploma programme.

APPLYING ONLINE – PERSONAL STATEMENT

A personal statement supports your application to study at a university or college. It’s a chance for you to articulate why you’d like to study a particular course or subject, and what skills and experience you possess that show your passion for your chosen field.

Please state your reasons for applying for this programme, any areas of experience that you feel would relate to this programme and any additional information that supports your application. (Max 500 words)

You can submit your personal statement via the online application form in one of two ways. It can be uploaded within the form as a document (PDF or Word), or you can write your statement in the text field provided.

For ease of use, we recommend that if you choose to use the text field in the online form, that you prepare your statement beforehand and then copy and paste into the text field.

If you wish to study on our part-time CertEd, PGCE or postgraduate courses, applications are made directly to University Centre Colchester. Applications for the Part-time MA Education are also made direct to University Centre Colchester.

Transfer Arrangements

University Centre Colchester Transfer Arrangements

Deferred entry

University Centre Colchester accepts applications for students looking to defer entry until September 2025 for most courses. Any student applying for deferred entry will be required to meet the conditions of their offer by 31st August 2025.

Applicants from Outside the United Kingdom

Overseas applicants can apply online using UCAS Apply via the UCAS website www.ucas.com. If you do not have access to the Internet, please contact the UCAS Customer Relations Team on +44 (0)870 1122211.

Employed Applicants

If you are to be sponsored by your employer to study on a course with a UCAS code, you must apply through UCAS.
