Each year come A Level results day in August, many students will find that they haven’t quite achieved the grades they needed for entry onto their chosen course.
If this applies to you and you don’t have enough UCAS points, please don’t panic!
Did you know that you could study a one-year diploma with us to get more UCAS points and not have to pay tuition fees?
Students aged 18 on 31st August 2023 do not have to pay tuition fees.
Each year we have a number of students join us after studying A Levels in order to top-up their UCAS points.
Can I go to University after doing a BTEC Diploma?
Yes, BTEC graduates can go on to university or alternatively into careers in their chosen fields.
Students can progress from their course onto many different higher education and professional programmes.
The UCAS Tariff points system is used when making offers to applicants and most post-16 qualifications are allocated a total UCAS point score.
So, what should I do next?
We suggest you join us at one of our upcoming August Advice Days, which take place from 24th August.
At the Advice Sessions, our tutors will advise you on your next steps, including appropriate courses, whilst our friendly student services and support teams will also be on hand to help you on the day with questions about fees and finance.
For us to offer you a place on a study programme, the course must still have spaces available, and you must meet the published entry criteria.
The table below shows how many UCAS points the most common qualifications are worth.
If you are planning to go on to university after completing your Level 3 programme you can visit ucas.com to check the UCAS points required for the course you are interested in.
