For the upcoming academic year, the College has received additional funding to support some 16-19 students with their learning. The College is using these funds to establish additional teaching groups and to employ further teaching staff. We work with specific students identified by teaching staff as ones who would benefit from increased tutor input, and who meet the government’s eligibility criteria.
Tuition Groups, usually of 3 to 7 students, usually meet at least once a week for additional teaching, guidance and support. These sessions enhance work taking place on campus. Students are usually grouped according to the main qualification they are taking at College. The work undertaken in Tuition Groups will include that from the main qualification but also work to support literacy and numeracy, and final student destinations.
