Following our full inspection in October we are delighted to announce that Ofsted has graded Colchester Institute as GOOD across the board
Fourteen inspectors visited us over a four day period. They looked at all aspects of our work as a College, and they visited all campuses. They concluded in all eight areas on which they make a judgement, that the college is GOOD and so the Overall grade for the College was also GOOD.
A judgement is also made about the contribution the College makes to meeting skills needs, and we were awarded the best possible outcome of STRONG. As a Professional and Technical College this grade is very important to us, reflecting our excellent stakeholder relationships and the vital role that employers play in the design and delivery of our programmes, ensuring that college leavers are ready for their next steps – whether onto vocational degrees, into apprenticeships or into the world of work.
