BTEC, GCSE and City and Guilds Technical Students – Post Results Service

If you’re not happy with your Exam results, there are a few options available to you. Once you have received your results, if you have concerns about your grades, you can apply for one of the awarding body’s post results services.

You must pay for these services through the online store (http://onlinestore.colchester.ac.uk/). Please click on the tabs below for further information about what services are available to you, and confirmation on fees for each of these services.

*For Written/Examiner Marked Exams only*   The review of marking gives you the opportunity to question the result of an assessment marked by City & Guilds, if you believe the marking was inaccurate. It involves both a clerical check (as described in the section above) and a review of marking by an examiner. If you wish to appeal an exam result you have received you will need to complete an Exam Result Query Form* within 5 days of receiving your exam result.

Please note, if you apply for a post-results service, and after viewing the outcome wish to appeal your results further, you must also complete an Exam Result Query Form* within 5 days of the exam board sending the outcome of your service.

It is important to remember that as a result of the appeal process your grade can go down, up or stay the same.
