At 16m (52ft) high, the Training Tower enables Colchester Institute to deliver training for working at height, supporting regional growth sectors like telecommunications, rail, energy, utilities, and general construction and engineering.

Working at Height Bespoke Training Courses
We are excited about the opportunity to develop bespoke and custom training packages to complement our existing portfolio of employer-focused programmes.Â
The training tower is available for businesses and community groups alike. Training can range from team building activities and personal development to bespoke training for those who may be required to work at height within the context of their role.
Colchester Institute can also offer bespoke Working at Height programmes, delivering the required level of theory and/or practical training to meet the needs of individual organisations and their staff. For example, we can offer:
- Working at Height & Work Restraints – one day combined theory and practical programme
- Working at Height – Harness & Lanyards – half-day classroom-based
- Working at Height – Writing Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Rescue Plans – one-day classroom-based
- Competent Climber – one day combined theory and practical programme
