Plastering Skills – 5 Day Plastering Course

A short intensive programme introducing candidates to the basics of plastering. This programme is suitable for anyone, no previous experience is required.

This course is perfect for those looking to renovate their own home or currently work within the construction sector. Upon completion, you will have mastered a range of basic plastering techniques and have the confidence to take on new projects.

Delivery is wholly practical so you will learn by doing, expertly coached and assisted by a highly skilled and experienced tutor. All plastering tools required for the course will be provided.

Course Content

Monday- Learn how to apply scratch coats and render.

Tuesday- Understanding types of plasterboard and use of beading.

Wednesday- Apply finishing plaster to surfaces.

Thursday- Prepare surfaces and learn how to re-plaster.

Friday- Fix coving and beading. Understand techniques to improve your plastering skills.

Entry Requirements

No previous experience is required.

Tutor Profile

Michael Bloom:

Your tutor for the course will Michael Bloom. Michael started work in the plastering trade in 1975. In 2002, he became a teacher and later transferred to Colchester Institute. He holds a Certificate in Education qualification and has completed a time-served apprenticeship.

He is recognised and well respected within the trade and has written two books about plastering.
