BPEC Plumbing Qualifications – Unvented Hot Water

As a BPEC-accredited training and assessment centre, Colchester Institute offers a quality service to all who work within the Building Services Engineering sector.

Our purpose-built facilities provide a range of short courses suitable for experienced plumbing operatives seeking to expand their industry knowledge and gain additional qualifications to comply with the current legislation.

These courses are for plumbing and heating engineers willing to install Domestic Vented and Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems. They enable operatives to demonstrate competence and allow either application to join a Competent Persons’ Scheme to ‘self-certify’ installations or to notify the local Building Control Department before commencing work. The course covers relevant aspects of Approved Document G, Part L1, and Part P of the Building Regulations.

Prerequisites

Applicants must either hold a recognised formal plumbing/heating qualification or provide evidence of years of experience in conventional heating engineering or plumbing.

This reassessment course is a half-day refresher designed for candidates whose qualifications are due to or have expired within the last 12 months. Upon successful completion, operatives will receive an Unvented Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems certificate issued by BPEC.
