Award for Personal Licence Holders BIIAB Level 2

Are you an individual looking to take the next step in your hospitality career? Or an employer who requires staff members to hold a personal licence?

The Award for Personal Licence Holders is a one day course ideal for those who want to develop a career within a restaurant or bar establishment. The BIIAB Personal Licence Holders qualification is also a requirement of the Licensing Act 2003 if you apply for a personal licence. It covers a wide range of topics including the roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities within the framework of the licensing objectives, and the role and legal responsibilities of the personal licence holder.

What is a Personal Licence?

A personal licence is designed to ensure that anyone running or managing a business that sells or supplies alcohol will do so in a professional manner. Once someone receives their personal licence, they can act as the designated premises supervisor for any business that sells or supplies alcohol.

How do you get a Personal Licence?

Following the training course, you will then apply to your local authority to obtain your personal licence.

How long is the training?

The Award for Personal Licence Holders is a one day course.

The sessions will be delivered in interactive modules with practice papers taken during the day. A handbook supporting the qualification and all the information needed for the examination will be provided.

How is the training assessed?

The examination is a short online multiple-choice paper taken on the same day as training.
