Foundation Diploma (Level 3) in Art & Design

Level 3 Photography
As part of the upcoming Level 3 Diploma in Photography course, students are required to engage in both digital and analogue photography. The equipment listed below is essential for the course and assessment criteria. Each student needs to purchase their own 35mm camera along with the following items.

The following equipment is not essential, but recommended for digital work at home:
• Hardware: You will have access to desktop PCs at college that will run the latest Adobe Suite software. If you are planning on using a laptop at home Mac or PC, it should be RAM minimum 16GB, preferably a 15 inch screen.
• Creative Software: Adobe CC is the industry standard for design professionals. You will have access to this at college. Some students do pay a monthly subscription for the Adobe Creative Cloud so that they can access the software outside of college.
Level 3 Animation & Illustration
To prepare for your year, make sure you have the following as your won kit. This will be essential to your studies:
• A set of quality drawing pencils ranging from HB to 6B (Koh-i-noor are good)
• A range of quality, soft synthetic brushes (different sizes and shapes – round, flat, etc)
• Sharpies (Chisel and/or Fine)
• Fine liners
• Alcohol markers/highlighters
• A good quality A5 sketchbook – sewn/stapled
• Paper scissors & Pritt sticks
