Insight into Dementia

Staff from our Health and Social Care department visited Bluebird Care Centre for their insight into Dementia Day at Lanswood Business Park.

The day included a tour of their new sensory room, informative sessions and a virtual tour on an interactive bus.

The interactive bus enabled staff to gain a real insight into living with Dementia.

Staff wore sensory pads in their shoes with spikes, tunnel vision glasses to impair their vision, gloves with some finger holes sewn together to make it hard to pick up items, headphones to reduce hearing and occasionally play loud noises such as sirens.
